The example of the Snowparkguide community - [1] - has shown that it takes a long time to establish connections between like-minded people or people working in the same field. The network behind the community developed over a number of years and its members have been involved in projects and have shared experiences in a ftf environment. The decision to extend the actual ftf community by the establishment of a portal where members are supposed to post regular information on developments in the individual parks then was quite a natural step. Although certain members were not convinced by the advantages of an online platform in the beginning, gradually they started to see this environment not only useful for the sharing of experiences among themselves, but also as a promotional instrument for their parks. Therefore, the win-win aspect also became an essential factor.
