A short story about the Romanian COP's

To start to have a Community of Practice in Tourism ON LINE, isn’t quite easy in Romania. It took some time to convince people to see the facilities useful and to try to use it. So it was a lot of work to try to change the mentality, first of all and then t apply the new idea. Finally we succeeded to set up 3 COP’s:

  1. one for guest houses: pensiuni.worklearntogether.org
  2. one for hotels and:hoteluri.worklearntogether.org
  3. one for students in tourism

Amazingly the most interested from these 3 communities, seems to be the guest house COP and then the second one who replies better were the hotels and less interested seem to be the students. May be they have other opportunities and means of communication and they feel too formal to access to a community of practice or may be it’s about ageing.
