In this group, all SME participants have a common interest for winter sports in general and for snowboarding and free-skiing in particular. They furthermore share the field they work in: they are in charge of maintaining parks for snowboarders and free-skiers.
Their main learning needs are closely related to their jobs, the maintenance of snowparks. Quite specifically there is a need to share information on the inventories of individual parks. An online forum has been created to help them exchange information, be up-to-date on what's going on in other regions, and to learn from current best practices.
The online platform (called 'Shapers Blog') is meant to share the most recent information on the individual snowparks. As part of the blog photos of the parks and their setup can be uploaded and added to the written information posted. Furthermore, participants provide information on snowpark inventories as well as on specific organisational and technical problems they encounter.
Their hopes are to reach a wider audience through the Snowparkguide website and to attract visitors by providing up-to-date information on individual parks, which cannot really be found on any other website.
